Faith over Fear in the Pandemic Era

In the era of 2020, where it is customary to wear a mask in public, in some places in America, you legally must wear a mask. It is time to lean on faith more than anything. Faith in the medicine that saves lives every day, trust in yourself, and in being there for one another. You must have confidence in knowing you are not alone even when it feels like it. It can be scary with the news shedding light on the numbers of people dying daily.

It can be heartbreaking, and those who are unemployed, not knowing what’s going to happen. It’s ok to be scared and to feel anything that comes up emotionally. It’s safe to talk about it, and it's honestly becoming a norm to talk about it. At the beginning of the pandemic, I didn’t take it seriously. I thought the news people were embellishing the truth. Only to end up being sent home from my new job because of the stay at home order. I remember that night coming back and being told as I was doing paperwork that after tonight we would have to stay at home as per colorado’s order.

It was a realization moment for me that this is real and is happening right now. I ended up sleeping in the next morning because I didn’t have work to wake up for. It was a surreal feeling; as the months continued, I started getting in the habit of sleeping in and taking my time in the morning. I would come up with new recipes for breakfast to make. I got in a creative flow of cooking.

This time has shaped the world to shine their light of love that has always been there. We just were all busy going through the motions of daily life to see that. When you are running on a way of everyday living, you have become accustomed to it's hard to see otherwise. This pandemic has to lead us back to ourselves. It has shown the truth of some companies behind the scenes as others have raised like Amazon. The fact has been coming out of every part of the nation as a good portion of people are still under the stay at home order as others are in phase two or three of the new way until doctors and scientists come up with the cure. Hospitals are still skyrocketing. We are still wondering what the new normal indeed will be. I know I want to travel to Canada as soon as I can. All dates of travel and more seem to be in 2021 since most things are canceled.

It’s as if we are all in waiting well for those that choose to wait it out and others that are wearing a mask every day and going to work. The new normal is the fashion of masks that can match your clothing or not. I have a skull mask that fits my favorite shirts with skulls of the day of the dead on it. I sometimes check it’s the latest fashion statement artist from Katy perry to Lizzy Jane is selling masks.

It’s almost like a dream. Everyone has equal opportunity online, and everyone is thinking of if this were to happen again, what is a secure job to have. In all honesty, a secure job is working for yourself, but it takes time and energy. It is worth it in the long run. I am rebuilding my business through this time, as I will work wearing a mask six days a week. The time in between is spent writing, doing homework for school, and manifesting. The word manifesting I use to believe it was a word of magic. I still believe in magic, just a different type.

I thought of Manifestations as something that would reappear just by thinking about it. I was so wrong that you can manifest your dreams by working hard even if your full working time is making time. I still make time for my friends and family, but I also make sure to make time for what needs to get done and rest when I need too so I don’t burn out as friend at work continues telling me.

Anything is possible, and there will always be someone that doubts you, and you can either give in to it or not. I do not because that is something within that person of challenging themselves. You keep going and go with what you want to do. It doesn’t matter what the economy looks like. You can always keep moving forward. As we continue growing closer from all parts, not just the united states, I am sure we will never forget this time in history as many vital issues from black lives matter to discrimination has been brought to our attention. Black lives matter until we see that we can’t honestly say all lives matter in a nation where it has been brought to watch, and some changes have happened, not many. All we can do is keep voicing and never forget this time in history and use our platforms to send important messages. Thank you for reading this.
